Recovery after cervicofacial deep plane lift
As we already know, with the cervicofacial lift we achieve rejuvenation of the face and neck. Usually it is a global facial improvement surgery that integrates different surgical maneuvers. In the case of the technique that we use, the deep plane, we achieve better, longer-lasting results and with a better and faster postoperative recovery.
Deep plane lift recovery process
After performing the intervention, the patient usually begins to get up the same afternoon as the operation. He will wear a post-operative bandage. While there is some discomfort due to the bandage, the lift is not painful.
The patient will be admitted for 24 hours and the next day we will uncover the bandage, cure it and cover it again with a new bandage, after which the patient will go home. You will be able to take care of yourself, with little discomfort, and you will keep the bandage on until about 3 or 4 days after the intervention. There we will call you for a check-up, we will remove the bandage, we will cure it and we will cover it again with a girdle that the patient will have to wear for about 10 more days. This garment can be removed to perform proper hygiene. At this time there will be inflammation, although it is less inflammation than with other lifting techniques.
One week after the intervention, we will remove the blepharoplasty stitches, if we have performed simultaneous eyelid surgery. And after fifteen days we will remove the lifting stitches. It is from this moment that the patient will be in an optimal state to resume their usual activities and social life, although taking some precautions with physical efforts. The deep plane lift recovery is completed.
